Why We Give

Why We Give

Giving to God's work is an act of worship. Giving is also an investment in changing lives for Jesus Christ.  Online giving provides a way to build consistency and discipline in this act of worship. By giving to Church of the Good Shepherd, you support and value God’s work in Yukon, Mustang, Oklahoma City, and beyond.

With Online Giving, you can give to Church of the Good Shepherd with recurring or one-time gifts. Online contributions are accepted through bank accounts—checking or savings.

Bank Account Requires: Bank Name, Account Type, Account Number & Routing Number

We use the latest, compliant methods to ensure your giving is properly protected.

We are currently installing a new, more advanced financial management system.  Giving via debit card or credit card online will be available once again by September 2017.

Giving to God’s work through Church of the Good Shepherd is tax deductible. Quarterly and annual giving statements are to

all persons giving through Good Shepherd.  Please note that any giving to the General Fund of Good Shepherd can be used at

the discretion of the leadership to further the mission of the church.

God calls us to give as an act of worship and to be good managers of our finances.  If you need help working on a plan to bring order to your finances, please register for one of our Financial Peace University courses.

Financial Peace University 2016

Financial Peace is returning in 2016!   We all need a plan for our money and Financial Peace University (FPU) can help make that happen. We can’t think of a better way to start the new year. Through video teaching, class discussions and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical and practical steps to get from where you are to where you’ve dreamed you could be. This plan will show you how to get rid of debt, manage your money, spend and save wisely, and much more!

Financial Peace University is a nine week course and meets for two hours each week. The first class begins on Wednesday, Jan. 6 and will meet from  6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Nursery will be provided. The cost for the course is $93 for the family and includes the workbook, envelope system, CDs of all classes and a lifetime membership. Scholarship help is available.
